Stadium Information

About Petco Park:

Located in the Gaslamp District of San Diego, Petco Park has been a proud fixture of the San Diego community since 2004. The Western Metal Supply Company building was declared a historic landmark in 1978 so as a result the stadium integrated it as part of the stadium since the building could not be demolished. Look for that down the left field line.

Tour Info:

A variety of tour options are available. Please visit for tour information.

Security Screenings:

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy:

Bags larger than 16" x 16" x 8" are prohibited. All bags are subject to search.

Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.

The Padres stadium was voted the best in the MLB last year, and if you take in a game you'll soon discover why. Great views, great food options, and lots of fun to be had in the surrounding area.

Pretty pricey but a beautiful stadium right in the downtown area. Check out the model of the Navy aircraft carrier on the third base line!

Love their healthy selections. Paradise Bowls serves fresh fruits granola with acai juice. Seafood selection of clam chowder and shrimp avocado salad? FRESH! Other ballparks need to take note!

Incorporating the Western Metal Building in the ballpark is awesome. A really good beer selection, in a wonderful part of town. Day or Night game, the weather is going to be comfortable.

Lots of local craft brew options throughout the ballpark, but there are stands specifically dedicated to the local breweries near home plate. Don't miss them!

Beautiful park with a great location. Omni hotel is a 30 step walk. Gas Lamp a block away and convention center with plenty of parking 2 blocks. Enjoy the game and downtown.

Among my top five ballparks in the country along with AT&T Park, PNC Park, the new Yankee Stadium and Orioles Park at Camden Yards, the original.

Depending on time of day, easily fast park, buy tickets right on Park, Tony Gwynn Dr. Lots of temp parking to buy tixx. Avoid surcharges if it makes sense & cents for you Padres faithful. LA fans pay!

The first baseball game ever played at Petco Park, on March 11, 2004, was the first game of a four-team NCAA invitational tournament hosted by San Diego State University.

Get a Randy Jones BBQ sliced brisket sandwich (w/ extra sauce) in center field. Go to the Hall Of Fame Bar in left (if it's a blowout) & the Ballpark Brews stand on the first base side for good beer.

The tour here is amazing. We had such a good time touring the facility. I couldn't believe some of the old buildings they incorporated into the ballpark from the existing infrastructure. It was neat getting to sit in the dugout and press box.

What is super Coliseum... Since I'm a San Francisco native, it's not better than Pac Bell Park, but it's still pretty terrific... Clean.... great people.... great layout! Worth a visit if you're in San Diego for sure..

Beautiful. I love that you can enjoy the park from a city view. It really makes it a city team! We walk by here everyday. I try to take certain streets at night to see the ballpark lights. Gives you all the baseball feels.

Americas best ballpark in Americas finest city. Our family has been season ticket owners since the Padres inaugural year of 1969. I love this team and this organization. There isn’t a bad view inside this stadium either. Food/drink selections change every year to keep the ballpark feeling fresh. Our seats in sect J, in my opinion, are best in house. The franchise has an extremely bright future, watch out for SD’s run for its first world championship coming soon.

I'm not too wild about the parking situation but I'm sure it could be a lot worse! Staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful. You pay premium for food and drinks but it's all part of fun, I guess. The bathroom is usually kept clean. You get a beautiful view of downtown San Diego. A great place to bring people visiting from out of town.
